From humble beginnings…
After trying a unique dessert on a trip to Asia, Evan was inspired to recreate and improve that dining experience in his hometown of Los Angeles. After recruiting two of his friends to join (Alex Y. and Alex L.), the trio embarked on a year-long journey of research and testing to fine tune the unique recipe that led to the introduction of Snow Cream. Once we perfected the process, we went about sampling our dessert to friends and family as well as at local food fairs. Finally, in November 2011 we opened our first shop in Sawtelle Japantown, eager to share our passion with everyone!

At Blockheads, we promise to always use fresh and natural ingredients because we believe that is the only way to ensure the highest of quality is tasted in every bite. As such, our Snow Cream flavors change with the seasons so that we can give our customers the best experience possible.
Today, we are continually experimenting with new flavors and dessert items to ensure that our customers receive the best that we can offer. It’s our promise to you!
